Telsonic Expands North American Operations with New Acquisition
The Swiss headquartered Telsonic Group, established in 1966, has continued to expand and enhance its operations worldwide, and now offers its industrial ultrasonic technology and solutions across multiple locations throughout Europe, America and Asia.
The recent acquisition of Leading Edge Engineering, based in Shelby Township, Michigan, USA, further consolidates the presence of TELSONIC strategically within an important marketplace. The company, which has been a long term partner of Telsonic, will operate under the new name of "Telsonic Tooling & Engineering LLC." The acquisition and integration of the business is an important step for Telsonic, not only allowing the business to expand its presence in North America, but also better serve the American market more efficiently with the high quality precision tools required for ultrasonic and vibration welding. In addition, the new company will continue to supply third-party customers in the toolmaking sector.
Telsonic has been present in the USA since 1992, and following the foundation of TELSONIC Ultrasonics Inc. in 2005, the company moved to a new facility in 2017. This firmly established Telsonic as a technology leader in a wide range of ultrasonic processes including: Ultrasonic Welding, Ultrasonic Cut N Seal, Rigid and Food Cutting, Ultrasonic Sieving, Ultrasonic Cleaning and Vibration Welding.
The toolmaking expertise and resources of the new company complements the existing skills of TELSONIC Ultrasonics Inc. which include: Design, FEA, Program Management, Support and Installation.
