The 6th annual edition of “The Battery Show” was held in Novi, Michigan
from September 15-17. What made this year’s show more attractive was the fact
that it was held in conjunction with the “Electric & Hybrid Vehicle
Technology Expo” and the “Critical Power Expo”. Telsonic Solutions had the
latest in ultrasonic metal welding technology on display, and the booth traffic
was an excellent indication of the interest shown by visitors in our welding
expertise. The location of the show obviously put the focus on the Automotive
industry, and the attendees included decision makers, technical leaders and
senior buyers from major OEMs and tier suppliers such as GM, Ford, BMW, Tesla,
Siemens und Delphi. The list of the battery and storage solution companies was
also a who is who of the trade and included Continental, Bosch, Johnson Controls,
Saft and EnerSys.
High voltage applications and Lithium Ion batteries continue to be the
focus of the industries and according to the visitors, Telsonic’s joining capabilities
in general and torsional welding in particular, offer elegant and practical
solutions to many different assembly needs.
The Battery Show was a definite success for Telsonic and as the post
show activities indicate, the market continues to grow rapidly and Telsonic is
poised to lead the pack.
