ISO 14001 environmental audit passed

Telsonic takes environmental issues extremely seriously, which is why it recently underwent a voluntary audit in compliance with the strict requirements of the ISO 14001 certification. The process involved Telsonic AG submitting itself to scrutiny for two whole days – and in the end, its efforts paid off.

The environmental audit was performed by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS) in September, and put every one of our company’s operational procedures and concepts through their paces. Only companies with a management strategy that is proven to be environmentally conscious receive ISO 14001 certification.
The audit process also examined whether our integrated management system complied with the legally prescribed obligations and other specifications set out
by ISO 14001: for example, whether we had set environmental targets and were actually pursing these in practice. Due to the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications sharing various features in common, in future we will seek to undergo a combined audit. At the same time, we will also submit ourselves to an annual review audit for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and will have our recertification audit conducted jointly. Consolidating the requirements of the two standards in this way will allow us to optimize – and, most importantly, reduce – the preparation and auditing work that the process involves.
